Observing the Reef Special Report - Oarfish on the Move: Multiple Sightings Reported. Oarfish, the deep water “serpent-like-children's-fairytale-book-looking-fish” rarely seen at the sea surface, have been sighted 4 times from the East Cape to La Paz over the weekend. One live sighting, and three beached Oarfish that were deceased, posted on social media. To learn more about these sightings, and how you can help the research being conducted by the Oarfish Beaching Awareness Project, click here.

Cetacean Monitoring Tour - Join our upcoming scientific cetacean monitoring tour in La Ventana, organized by Aguacea Explora and the scientifics of MMAPE. On the agenda: actively searching for marine life, helping biologists with collecting valuable data for their ongoing research (photographic identification, behavior, morphometrics, acoustics and more), learn from passionate people from the sea & marvel at beautiful wild encounters! When: April, Thursday, 3rd and Tuesday, 8th – seems to be no wind days! What : around 6 hours at sea. Small groups for better participation. Sacred Flow: Meditation, Mantra and Movement - Join me every Tuesday morning 7am at MiCasa es Su Casa, for a practice of gentle movement and stretching to prepare the body for meditation and seated chanting. After some preparatory movement, we will spend time in a mix of silent and guided meditation. Each week I will introduce different sanskrit mantras, discuss their meaning, and we will chant together.
